Collection: Landscape Commissions

My love of painting landscapes grew out of my own desire to paint beautiful places I have visited.  I wanted to have that moment in time captured on canvas to look upon everyday.  The memory of a special day experienced, the awe of a spectacular natural land formation or a destination and the journey remembered through art.  It has meant so much to me to turn the places I adore into paintings, now I would like to offer you the same experience.  I am open and accepting Landscape commissions.

It all starts with a photo:

To commission a landscape painting you will need a good quality photo image.  That photo becomes the reference to be turned into a painting.  Please email photos to tanialucasart@gmail.com 

Types of Landscapes I do:

I am primarily a painter, I use acrylic paint on stretched canvas.  

Style of Landscape:

After you have chosen your photo I will ask if you have any ideas about what you would like your painting to look like.  There are two main styles to choose from, a realistic representation of your photo or something more geometric or abstract. Here are examples of the different styles:

Realistic Styles like "Kings Canyon"

Geometric or Abstract Landscape like "Hope"

Sizes and Price Guide:

Listed below is a size and price guide to give you an idea of expected minimum prices. Before giving a final quote I would need to see your photo to inspect the level of complexity of your landscape scene. This price guide is appropriate for a basic scene.  For a very complex landscape scene that would require many additional hours of work I would expect to add a minimum of 25% to the prices. There are 5 main size options.  If you are seeking something larger please let me know and I can happily prepare a quote for you.

Booking and Payment:

-When you are ready to procced with booking your Landscape painting you will be required to make a 40% nonrefundable deposit.

-After receiving your deposit I will begin work on your Landscape painting.

-At various stages during painting your picture and at the completion of your portrait I will send you photos of the painting.  If you are happy with the painting you then make your final payment and it is mailed to you.
