I am delighted to be exhibiting three new paintings in a group art exhibition called ''Nature's Story" with Thou Art Mum at Montsalvat Art Centre. The exhibition runs from 20th October to 13th November 2022. My paintings are called ''The Secret Garden'', ''I Dreamed I Was The Sky'' and ''After The Storm".
Recently I started fundraising for The Kids' Cancer Project. In September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and in memory of the children tragically lost to cancer I held an online Fundraising Auction of my painting "Mother Nature Dreaming.'' I am delighted to announce the auction was a success my painting selling for $650. I was extremely grateful to be able to donate 100% of the sale to The Kids' Cancer Project.
Thick linear flowing and circular lines became a feature of most of my early paintings. There is something about thick textured following lines that helps me tell the story I am trying to convey. For me the lines accentuate natural lines, convey movement, interconnectedness and a sense of flow and freedom.
Painting Landscapes was a natural progression for me which grew out of my love of exploring the earth and its many landscapes. Most of my landscapes are painted from photos taken while hiking or walking. Hiking and Landscape painting really are the perfect combination for me creating a harmonious symmetry.
